Ride/Event Description: We are looking for approximately 10 machines to assist in some trail and road clean-up in the Panguitch Lake area over to Duck Creek. AJ Billings will supervise the work crew in the clean-up efforts. Work will entail pulling down trees away from Mammoth Creek Rd and cleaning up any trash found along the road. USFS will provide bags for any trash found. Any fallen trees will be pulled away from the road into the forest for later disposal. If volunteers that can help could provide any rigging such as chokers and tow straps or chains and cables to assist in dragging trees short distances away from the roadway.
As always please bring enough water, snacks & lunch you may need. Once work is complete, we will take a leisurely ride back to our meeting location. Always remember that the Burger Barn is right there for a meal before heading home or a late lunch after a good day’s work.
Since some of this work is along a paved road, we need to limit it to approximately 10 machines to keep the crowd along the road to a minimum. It’s suggested that if you have a safety vest, please bring it for your use.
Plan is to meet at the Panguitch Lake Ranger Station where AJ & LaRue are located by 09:00 AM.
Those who have not been there before, it’s located across the street from the Panguitch Lake General Store, @ 186 UT-143, Panguitch Lake, UT 84759. Ranger Station entrance is located off W Shore Rd.
We will have a short safety briefing and leave from there to complete the day’s work By 09:15 or so.
