HIGHLIGHTS: Locals call this site the Medicine Man Cave because of the many intriguing rock art and ceremonial symbols. Early farmers may have used this area for food storage and preparation, as evidenced by the many metate grinding locations, grooves and storage pits. This cave any have been a place where women would go for child birth, hence the baby feet and the fertility God Kokopelli painted on the walls. Whatever the cave’s use, you will feel a peaceful spiritual renewal.
THE TRAIL: This trail is sandy with slick rock areas. Views of Zion, pines and red rock. Parking at the Hell Dive hiking trail is tight. The hike is .25 mile over sand and slick rock. Appropriate footwear and a walking stick are recommend. We are limiting this ride to 12 people. Please RSVP Melanie either here or by text 805 391-1868 for meeting and time information.
