Ride/Event description: The weather is so nice it’s time to take a ride. On Monday February 9th we plan to ride County Road 5 (River Road extended) south of St. George approximately 80 miles to the Whitmore Canyon overlook of the Grand Canyon. This will be a combined ride with a few friends, the Tri-State ATV and UT/AZ clubs.
This ride will be a moderate ride because of the length, travel speed, and some terrain closer to the Colorado River. It will also require an AZ ATV registration for 2026. It is anticipated this will be a large group. Please read the ride logistics section below carefully.
Travel Plan: We will leave the staging area and plan to travel approximately 90 minutes to the Mount Trumbull Schoolhouse.
After a short break we will proceed past the Bar 10 ranch/airport and proceed to the overlook. We will have lunch at the overlook. On the return journey we will take a small side trip to Paw’s Pocket. The return will then be a run back to the schoolhouse to fuel and bathroom. After that
short break we will make the run back to the parking area.
