SUMMARY:Tri-State / USFS Service Project Panguitch Lake Ranger Station
DESCRIPTION:\n\n\nTri-State / USFS Service Project\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThursday September 10, 2026 09:00 AM\nMeeting place / Panguitch Lake Ranger Station\nWe are looking for approximately 10 machines to help finish trail and road cleanup in the Panguitch Lake area, including the route toward Duck Creek. The cleanup will continue along Mammoth Creek Road to Highway 14, and we will ride the trails back to the Panguitch Lake Ranger Station. AJ Billings will supervise the crew. Work will include pulling downed trees away from Mammoth Creek Road and collecting any trash found along the road. The USFS will provide trash bags. Fallen trees will be moved off the roadway and into the forest for later disposal. Volunteers who can help are encouraged to bring rigging, such as chokers, tow straps, chains, or cables, to assist with dragging trees short distances from the road. We have a few supplies, but backups are always helpful.\nAs always, please bring enough water, snacks, and lunch you may need. Once work is complete, we will take a leisurely ride back to our meeting location. Always remember that the Burger Barn is right there for a meal before heading home or for a late lunch/early dinner after a good day’s work.\nSince some of this work is along a paved road, we need to limit it to approximately 10 machines to keep the crowd along the road to a minimum. It’s suggested that if you have a safety vest, please bring it for your use.\n\nThe plan is to meet at the Panguitch Lake Ranger Station where AJ & LaRue are located, before 09:00 AM.\nFor those who have not been there before, it’s located across the street from the Panguitch Lake General Store, 186 UT-143, Panguitch Lake, UT 84759. Ranger Station Entrance is located off W Shore Rd.\nWe will have a short safety briefing and leave from there to complete the day’s work by 09:15 or so. \nPlease RSVP to: Brad Cary \nText to 949/355-6005 or Email to : brad_cary@att.net\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
